Service Description
Targeted, hands-on work for when your body won’t switch off and breathing, rest, or time hasn’t shifted it. This is NOT for irelaxation or maintenance. It’s precise body work that changes how your nervous system responds. Your body holds patterns: • tension • bracing • over-activation • that constant underlying edge We work directly with those responses by working with them physically. This includes: • tension and restriction • discomfort held in the body • nervous system activation • automatic stress responses The pattern doesn’t just ease temporarily, it starts to change. HOW I WORK I use a combination of hands-on techniques drawn from: • body-based assessment • principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine • kinesiology • nervous system and somatic wor Each session responds to what your body is doing in the moment. No fixed routine. No generic treatment. THIS IS FOR YOU IF: • your body stays tense, even when things are “fine” • you feel "tired and wired" • you’re sensitive to stress, noise, or your environment • you can’t fully relax, no matter what you try These patterns are common in people who’ve lived in prolonged or repeated stress. You may recognise it as: • hypervigilance • always scanning for danger or feeling on edge • difficulty relaxing, even when you’re safe • a body that doesn’t switch off Whether you’ve been given a label like PTSD or not, your body has learned to stay alert. This work focuses on the physical response - so your nervous system can start to come out of the "fight or flight" state, and move into the "rest and digest" state. STRUCTURE 3 × private sessions (90 minutes) Delivered over 6 weeks Each session builds on the last: • identifying how the pattern is held • working directly with the body’s response • supporting release and stabilisation
